When it comes to business, I keep my brand professional: I know that I represent my employer as well as myself and my family name. While I like to keep a wall of separation between my public and private lives, every wall has cracks where what psychology calls "backstage behavior" becomes visible. Rather than patch those holes, I cultivate what shows through.

A Google search will not reveal much about me (and that is by design), so here I invite you to peer through the cracks in my wall, to get to know me as a whole person - to see what family, friends, and close co-workers and colleagues get to see!

I have been a guest a few times on Roger Wilkerson's Do Not Listen to This Podcast: uncensored and unabashedly me! Roger can make me laugh out loud - and that is not an easy accomplishment. If you can make me laugh, you have found a door in my walls.

All proceeds from Do Not Listen to This Podcast go towards feeding stray cats and dogs in Bangkok, Thailand, which is another reason why I feel comfortable guesting on this show. If I make a complete fool of myself, at least it is for a cause dear to my heart!

"You can't have a little grace; you either have grace

OR YOU DON'T."

Congrats if you recognized the Seinfeld quote!

I am frequently told that I am the picture of sophistication and grace; I have enough self-awareness not to believe the hype and work harder to live up to it.

I can keep confidences while remaining on-brand, aware, and respectful of differing views. I am a master at pivoting the conversation.

While I believe that every person in my life adds value to it, if I find someone to be repeatedly offensive, I will make every effort to stop finding them.

#mustlovedogs

I have a few signature hashtags, but #mustlovedogs is the one I use professionally. Dogs are loyal and loving to a fault; how you treat them tells the world about your character.

As for me, I only own - or rather, am owned by - two special needs cats: a grey tabby ("Tabbie") who knows, without a doubt, that she is the center of the universe, and her littermate, a buff tiger ("Leo") who thinks he is a Labrador retriever...and Tabbie's Samwise Gamgee.

Both had Level 5 FAS (fear/anxiety/stress) when I adopted them. While Tabbie has been cured, Leo is still a Level 2 (and probably always will be). Leo also suffers from mild cerebral hypoplasia, which intense early therapy has helped him to mostly overcome (he will always have balance issues, but that is a part of his charm!).

While working as an Independent Contractor has allowed me to be a "stay at home cat Mom" during their formative years, which helped them to overcome the severity of their disabilities, I am looking forward to returning to a regular, full-time position.
